Oscar winner Javier Bardem is expected to guest star in the forthcoming season of FOX’s hit series Glee, according to Entertainment Weekly.

He will reportedly play a rock star who befriends Artie (played by Kevin McHale). Bardem won the Academy Award for his performance in No Country for Old Men, and was Oscar-nominated for Before Night Falls. He will next be seen on the Big Screen opposite Julia Roberts in Eat Pray Love, to be released in August.

Previously reported guest appearances for the second season include Broadway veterans John Stamos and Kristin Chenoweth, as well as recording artist Charice, who will have a recurring role.

The series will air on Tuesdays at 8pm for the first part of the 2010-2011 season. The show will return to its original slot of Wednesdays at 9pm sometime in 2011. The show stars Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch, Cory Monteith, Dianna Agron, Jayma Mays, Kevin McHale, Mark Salling, Amber Riley, Jessalyn Gislig, Heather Morris, and Jenna Ushkowitz.
