F. Murray Abraham, Bill Camp, John Douglas Thompson Set for TFANA’s 2010-2011 Season

Theater for a New Audience (TFANA) has announced its 2010-2011 season.

TFANA will open the season with a presentation of Yale Repertory Theater’s Notes from Underground, to run November 7-20 at the Jerome Robbins Theater at the Baryshnikov Arts Center. The piece has been adapted from Fydor Dostoevsky’s novel of the same name by director Robert Woodruff and actor Bill Camp, who stars in the show.

Te theater’s season will continue will be a presentation of Fiasco Theater’s Cymbeline, which will run January 13-30 at the New Victory Theater, to be followed by a return engagement of Darko Tresjnak’s production of The Merchant of Venice. starring Academy Award-winner F. Murray Abraham as Shylock, which will run February 27-March 13 at Pace University’s Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts.

The season will conclude with a new production of Macbeth, starring John Douglas Thompson in the title role. Arin Arbus will direct the piece, which will run March 12=April 22 at The Duke on 42nd Street.
