Amy Madigan, Andre Royo to Appear on TV’s Fringe

Stage and screen star Amy Madigan will join the cast of the series Fringe next season in the recurring role of the mother of Olivia Dunham (played by series star Anna Torv), according to EW.com.

In related news, the site is also reporting that actor Andre Royo, who co-starred in the hit Off-Broadway play Our Lady of 121st Street, will guest star in the series’ third season premiere.

Madigan played Stella in the 1992 Broadway revival of A Streetcar Named Desire and starred in the 1990 L.A. production of Eduardo Machado’s Stevie Wants to Play the Blues. She will appear in a benefit performance of Ellen Geer’s Carry It On! Great American moments in word and song on July 16 at 8pm at Theatricum Botanticum.

She received an Academy Award nomination for Twice in a Lifetime, and her many film and television credits include Grey’s Anatomy, Carnivale, The Laramie Project, and Having Our Say.
