Yul Brynner's Daughter to Appear at Glendale King and I Film Benefit

By Andy Propst • Jul 14, 2009 • New York City
Yul Brynner's daughter, Victoria Brynner, will be on hand at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, California on July 25 for two benefit screenings of the widescreen print of Walter Lang's film version of the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, The King and I.

Also expected at this fundraising event for the theater, which is dedicated to the preservation and presentation of classic movies as they were originally screened, are cast members from the stage production and movie.

The program will conclude with a Jack Benny Show classic, in which Benny and Gisele MacKenzie perform "Getting to Know You" from the musical as a violin duet. Additionally, The King and I memorabilia will be raffled at each screening, raising further proceeds to support the Alex Film Society.
