Randy Kovitz, Rob Sedgwick Join Perfect Crime

Randy Kovitz and Rob Sedgwick are joining the cast of Warren Mann’s Perfect Crime, playing at the Snapple Theatre Center. Kovitz will assume the role of psychiatrist Harrison Brent on July 26 while Sedgwick will step into the role of deranged patient Lionel McAuley July 27.

Kovitz has appeared on Broadway in Burn This, Othello and Macbeth. Regionally he has appeared in productions with companies such as Yale Repertory, Laguna Playhouse, and the Los Angeles Theater Center. Among his film credits: Knightriders and Reunion (with Denzel Washington).

Sedgwick’s New York theater credits include The Devil’s Disciple, Major Barbara (Irish Repertory Theater), Vick’s Boy, and Bliss (The Rattlestick). Regionally he’s been seen at Asolo Theater, Williamstown Theatre Festival and Sundance EST, among others. Sedgwick’s film credits include Loverboy (directed by Kevin Bacon), Die Hard 3,and Tune in Tomorrow.

Perfect Crime centers on the murder of a man married to a prominent psychiatrist. It began performances April 18, 1987.
