Nick Adams, George Dvorsky, Sally Mayes, Lynne Wintersteller, and More to Play Birdland in August

Broadway alum Nick Adams will make his solo club debut at Birdland on August 17, while Tony nominee Sally Mayes will celebrate her birthday at the club on August 24 with a number of special guests, including Patrick Brady, Jim Caruso, George Dvorsky, Lina Koutrakos, Sharon Montgomery, Billy Stritch, Lynne Wintersteller, and Jessica Wright.

Birdland’s August acts will also include the Lou Donaldson Quartet (July 29-August 1), Limbsakimbo (August 3), Ted Nash (August 4), Trio 3 with Geri Allen (August 5-8), Victoria Shaw (August 10), Leny Andrade (August 12-15), Richie Beirach Quintet (August 19-22), Hank Jones Trio (August 25-29), and The Darmon Meader Quartet (August 31).

In addition, Birdland will present its regular monthly engagements of The Birdland Jazz Party (featuring Hilary Kole), Chico O’Farrill’s Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestra, and 2009 MAC Award winner Jim Caruso’s “Cast Party.”
