Martha Plimpton Lands Grey’s Anatomy Gig

Three-time Tony Award nominee Martha Plimpton will play the mother of a patient in a multi-episode story line on ABC’s hit drama Grey’s Anatomy, beginning with the season premiere on September 24, according to Reuters.
Plimpton has been nominated for three consecutive Tony Awards, for The Coast of Utopia (for which she won the Drama Desk Award), Top Girls, and Pal Joey. She received an Obie Award for her work in Hobson’s Choice.
Grey’s Anatomy stars Patrick Dempsey, Ellen Pompeo, Sandra Oh, Katherine Heigl, Chandra Wilson, James Pickens. Jr., and Sara Ramirez.
