Film Society of Lincoln Center to Offer The Bard Goes Global

The Film Society of Lincoln Center will present The Bard Goes Global: Shakespeare on the International Screen to run at the Walter Reade Theatre, July 15-26

This festival will feature 18 films from 10 countries, including works by Orson Welles, Laurence Olivier, Akira Kurosawa, Aki Kaurismäki, Derek Jarman, Grigori Kozintsev, Franco Zefferelli, Roman Polanski and Baz Luhrmann, as well as Charlton Heston’s Antony and Cleopatra, and Al Pacino’s Looking for Richard. In addition, Julie Taymor’s Titus will be shown on July 23, at which she will participate in a post-screening Q&A session.
