David Wilson Barnes to Appear in Ski Dubai Reading

David Wilson Barnes, recently seen in Becky Shaw at Second Stage Theatre, will take part in a free reading of Laura Jacqmin’s Ski Dubai at Ars Nova. The August 3 presentation is part of the theater’s Out Loud play development series.

Jacqmin’s play centers on a woman, who, after coping with the destruction wreaked on her apartment by a falling crane, begins a job a new development project in Dubai, and finds that creating her new home in a foreign land is a difficult thing to accomplish.

Laura Savia, whose previous work includes productions and readings with companies such as Williamstown Theatre Festival, Atlantic Theater Company and Babel Theatre Project, will direct. The company also features Gbenga Akinnagbe, Purva Bedi, Dana Eskelson and Karla Mosley.
