Variety is reporting on a trio of film projects starring big-name stage veterans.

Tony Award winner Hugh Jackman will star in Avon Man, as a laid-off auto dealer worker who becomes a salesman for the cosmetic company. Jackman will return to Broadway in September to star in A Steady Rain opposite Daniel Craig.

Oscar winner Cate Blanchett will star as Lady Edwina Mountbatten in Joe Wright’s Indian Summer, featuring a screenplay by playwright William Nicholson, about the last days of Britain’s colonial rule of India in 1947. Blanchett is coming to the U.S. this year in a tour of A Streetcar Named Desire.

Finally, Patricia Clarkson and Julianne Moore will co-star opposite Pierce Brosnan in the comedic drama The Hunter, about a middle-aged man trying to hold on to his once-charmed life, to be written and directed by Stanley Tucci.
