Actors Express Gives Grey Gardens Its Atlanta Premiere in 2009-2010 Season

Actor’s Express will open its 2009-2010 season with the Atlanta premiere of Grey Gardens, the award winning musical from Doug Wright, Scott Frankel and Michael Korie, August 27-October 10. The show takes a look at the lives of Jacqueline Kennedy-Onassis’ flamboyantly eccentric aunt Edith Bouvier Beale and her daughter “Little Edie.”

Next up will be Fair Use, a romantic comedy from Sarah Gubbins, its world premiere (November 5-December 5). The New Year will see two southeastern premieres at Actors Express. First up is Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa’s Good Boys & True, seen last season at New York’s Second Stage Theatre (January 14-February 13). This will be followed by Kate Fodor’s 100 Saints You Should Know (March 18-April 17).

The Actors Express season will conclude with another Atlanta premiere: Allison Moore’s Slasher, a send-up of horror flicks that was seen at the 2009 Humana Festival of New American Plays (May 20-June 19).
