Symphony Space Announces 2008-2009 Season

Symphony Space has announced its 2008-2009 season, which will include its annual Selected Shorts series, another run of the Thalia Follies, Wall to Wall Broadway, and Bloomsday on Broadway.

Special performers and guests this season will include authors Tom Wolfe and Salman Rushdie, and musicians Anthony Braxton, Robyn Hitchock, Steven Brinberg, Ethel, Sharon Isbin, Tara Helen O’Connor, and Mark O’Connor. On the dance front, there will be a special program entitled Dancing for Jerry: The d’Amboise Family Remembers, celebrating the legacy of Jerome Robbins, and Larry Keigwin’s Keigwin Cabaret.

Film programming will celebrate the work of Katharine Hepburn, Bette Davis, Mel Brooks, and Jeanne Moreau, as well as a series entitled The Best Films of 1939.
