Up next will be Igor Goldin's production of the musical Like You Like It (October 18-November 2), by Sammy Buck and Daniel Acquisto, which transplants Shakespeare's As You Like It to 1985. That show will be followed by the popular A Tuna Christmas (December 6-21), by Ed Howard, Joe Sears, and Jaston Williams, set in a radio station in a small Texas town.
In 2009, after a musical still to be named, the company will present William Inge's classic drama Bus Stop (March 14-29), about an aspiring nightclub singer who's kidnapped by a romantic cowboy, and The Who's Tommy (May 2-24), based on the legendary album from the rock supergroup about a deaf, dumb, and blind young man who gains fame as a pinball player. The season will end with the company's 12th Annual Black Box New Play Festival (June 6-21).For more information, visit www.galleryplayers.com.
