Broadway on Broadway to Kick Off 2008-2009 Season on September 14

The 17th annual Broadway on Broadway, a free concert presented by The Broadway League and The Times Square Alliance, will take place in Times Square at 11:30am on Sunday, September 14.

The concert will bring together stars and performances from current and upcoming Broadway productions to officially kick off the beginning of the 2008-2009 Broadway season. A specific list of performers will be announced at a later date.

For the event, Times Square will be “shut down” to make room for the anticipated 50,000-plus attendees. In addition to individual performances, the event features a grand finale replete with a rain of confetti.
