Barbour, Hurlbert, O’Hare, Rylance, Shindle, et al. Set for Variations on Shakespeare

James Barbour, Denis O’Hare, Autumn Hurlbert, Kate Shindle, and GrooveLily will join previously announced performers Darius de Haas, Barrett Foa, Martha Plimpton Michael Arden, Tom Cavanagh, Alexander Gemignani, Christian Hoff, Garrett Long, Anthony Rapp, and Alice Ripley for The New Globe Theater’s benefit concert entitled Variations on Shakespeare: An Evening of Songs Inspired by the Bard, to be presented Monday, August 4 at New World Stages.

Tony Award winner Mark Rylance will host the evening, which will be directed by Igor Goldin with musical direction by David Andrews Rogers.

This benefit concert will highlight songs from musicals based on the works of William Shakespeare, including Kiss Me, Kate, The Boys From Syracuse, and West Side Story. The evening is being produced in association with Theatermania.com.

Ticket prices range from $50-$150 and go on sale to the public beginning Monday, July 7. For more information, visit www.newglobe.org.
