Veanne Cox to Star in Guthrie’s Private Lives

Tony Award nominee Veanne Cox will play Amanda in the Guthrie Theatre’s production of Noel Coward’s classic comedy Private Lives, to run July 21-September 2. The production will be directed by Peter Rothstein.

The show focuses on a pair of ex-spouses, Amanda and Elyot, who find themselves honeymooning with their new mates in the same hotel. The cast also features Stephen Pelinski as Elyot, Kris L. Nelson as Victor, Tracey Maloney as Sybil, and Sally Wingert as Louise. The creative team includes John Arnone (sets), Devon Painter (costumes), Marcus Dilliard (lighting), and Reid Rejsa (sound).

Cox received a Tony nomination for playing Amy in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s production of Company. She has also starred on Broadway in Smile, The Dinner Party, and Caroline, or Change. Her many other stage credits include Last Easter, The Altruists, and The Beaux Stratagem.
