The stage version of the Oscar-winning film Terms of Endearment, starring Linda Gray, will tour 11 venues in the U.K., August 24-December 1, before a possible transfer to the West End, according to Whatsonstage.com.

The play, adapted by Dan Gordon from Larry McMurtry’s novel and the award-winning film, was originally scheduled to debut at the Alley Theatre in Houston earlier this year, followed by a run at Hartford Stage. Both productions were cancelled.

The U.K. tour will begin at the York Theatre Royal; later stops include Guildford’s Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Cambridge’s Art Theatre, Cardiff’s New Theatre, and Darlington’s Civic Theatre.

Gray will play family matriarch Aurora Greenway. She appeared on the West End and Broadway in The Graduate and is best known for her role as Sue Ellen Ewing on the long-running CBS drama Dallas. The cast also includes Suzanne Jones, John Bowe, Robert Fitch, and Katherine Heath.
