Songs from an Unmade Bed, the hit Off-Broadway musical featuring lyrics by Mark Campbell and music by 18 different composers, will play the Williams College Summer Theatre Lab, to be held at the Center Stage of the ’62 Center for Theatre and Dance in Williamstown, Massachusetts, July 14-15 and 20-22.

The show, which will once again star Michael Winther and be directed by David Scheweizer, is a song cycle that explores the romantic life of a gay man living in the city. Among the contributing composers are Debra Barsha, Mark Bennett, Jenny Giering, Jake Heggie, Stephen Hoffman, Steven Lutvak, and Joseph Thalken. Both Winther and Campbell received Drama Desk nominations for their work.

Other offerings of the Lab will include Flesh, Metal & Glass (Love and Driver’s Ed), a play by Marjorie Duffield about a woman whose relationships and cars keep getting wrecked (July 15), The Lab Music Project, feature songs and stories by Lab students, coordinated and directed by Winther (July 22), and the Alumni/Student One-Act Festival, featuring works by Jay Tarses, Adam LeFevre, and Duffield (August 11-12).

In addition, the Lab is collaborating with the Williamstown Theatre Festival on its production of Freidrich Durrenmatt’s The Physicists, helmed by Kevin O’Rourke, the Lab’s artistic director, and starring Mark Blum, Rob Campbell, John Feltch, Roger Rees, and Brenda Wehle, along with members of the Lab.
