John Williams, Stanley Donen to Appear with New York Philharmonic

Legendary composer-conductor John Williams and film director Stanley Donen will appear with the New York Philharmonic for three special concerts, September 14-16, at Avery Fisher Hall.

Williams will conduct the Philharmonic in a concert of great Hollywood film scores. He has composed the scores for the Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Harry Potter series, among other achievements, winning five Academy Awards in the process.

Donen will host a retrospective of his classic movie musicals; his directing credits include On the Town, Singin' in the Rain, Royal Wedding, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Kismet, Damn Yankees, and The Pajama Game.
