Full casting has been announced for the Broadway production of Aaron Sorkin's The Farnsworth Invention. Directed by Des McAnuff, the play will begin previews at the Music Box Theatre on October 15, with an official opening on November 14.

Joining previously announced stars Hank Azaria and Jimmi Simpson will be Nadia Bowers, Kyle Fabel, Maurice Godin, Adam Grupper, Christian McCarthy Johansen, Aaron Krohn, Kate MacCluggage, Bruce McKenzie, Malcolm Morano, Spencer Moses, Michael Mulheren, Jim Ortlieb, Michael Pemberton, Javier Picayo, Katharine Powell, Steve Rosen, James Sutorius, Margot White, Alexandra Wilson, and William Youmans.

The play centers around the bitter conflict that pitted Philo T. Farnsworth (Simpson), a boy genius who invented television as a high school student in 1927, against David Sarnoff (Azaria), the head of the Radio Corporation of America (RCA).

Sorkin is the author of the 1989 Broadway play A Few Good Men, later made into a critically-acclaimed feature film. He is best known for his Emmy-winning TV drama, The West Wing. McAnuff won Tony Awards for his direction of Big River and The Who's Tommy; he is currently represented on Broadway by Jersey Boys.

The design team will include Klara Zieglerova (scenic design), David C. Woolard (costume design), Howell Binkley (lighting design), and Walter Trarbach (sound design). The show will also feature original music by Andrew Lippa and choreography by Lisa Shriver.
