Any Wednesday, the free performance series at Barnes & Noble Lincoln Triangle (Broadway & 66th Street), has announced its lineup for August 2007. All events, except where noted, begin at 6:00pm, last approximately one half hour, and are followed by a meet-and-greet session with the artists.

The month begins with a celebration of the cast recording of High Fidelity on August 1, with appearances by composer Tom Kitt, lyricist Amanda Green, and original cast members Will Chase and Jenn Colella.

That same evening, at 7:30pm, TheaterMania contributor Peter Filichia will be joined by composer Charles Strouse in a discussion of Broadway musicals and the expanded version of Filichia’s book, Let’s Put on a Musical.

On August 8, jazz singer Marlene Ver Planck performs selections from her reissued album, My Impetuous Heart, while on August 15 Marieann Meringolo celebrates her newest album, Here’s to the Ladies!, a salute to great female performers including Peggy Lee, Dionne Warwick, and Judy Garland.
She will be followed by cabaret singers Nancy Stearns (August 22) and Steve Ross (August 29), who will preview his salute to Stephen Sondheim that will debut at the Algonquin Hotel’s Oak Room in September.
