Champlin, Lavin, Shindle, et al. Set for Broadway at Birdland

Donna Lynne Champlin, Linda Lavin, and Kate Shindle are among the artists who will appear in September as part of Jim Caruso’s Broadway at Birdland series, co-sponsored by TheaterMania. All Monday night concerts are followed by Jim Caruso’s Cast Party.

The month will kick off with the Tony Award-winning Lavin in Confessions of a Singing Waitress (September 3-4). Up next, Chuck Cooper, Aisha de Haas, Chester Gregory, Joshua Henry, and Jon Eric Parker will salute the music of James Brown (September 10). The month continues with singer-songwriter Amanda Green (September 16), Legally Blonde star Kate Shindle with composer Michael John LaChiusa (September 17), the popular Nancy Anderson (September 23), and Broadway star Donna Lynne Champlin (September 30).
