Bruce Vilanch to Perform New Show at Provincetown Theater

Bruce Vilanch will perform a special benefit performance of his new “adults-only” show at 10pm on Sunday, July 15 at the Provincetown Theater in Provincetown, Massachusetts. The show will benefit the New Provincetown Players’ Summer Apprentice Program.

The previous evening, July 14, Vilanch will be honored with the Players’ Outstanding Contribution to the Arts Award at their benefit dinner at Patio Restaurant. On September 2, the Players will hold another benefit dinner, which will honor actress-singer Lainie Kazan.

Vilanch played Edna Turnblad in the Broadway production of Hairspray and recently appeared Off-Broadway in Spalding Gray: Stories Left to Tell. He starred Off-Broadway in the solo show, Bruce Vilanch: Almost Famous. Vilanch has contributed material to numerous Academy Awards broadcasts and has worked extensively with such performers as Bette Midler, Lily Tomlin, and Joan Rivers.
