Boston, Fuller, Gardner, Rooney, et al. Set for O’Neill Cabaret Conference

The complete line-up has been announced for the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s Cabaret & Performance Conference, to run August 1-11 at the Dina Merrill Theater in Waterford, Connecticut.

Highlights of the event include solo shows by Broadway favorites Rita Gardner (August 2), Penny Fuller (August 4), and Gretha Boston (August 7); an evening of the songs of Barry Kleinbort, starring Fuller, Gardner, Robin Skye, Jay Rogers, and Cole Burden (August 5); and Jeremy Lawrence’s solo show about Tennessee Williams, Everyone Expects Me to Write Another Streetcar! (August 10).

There will also be previews of two new musicals: Marcus Hummon and Bill Feehely’s American Duet, about an African-American country singer’s journey to South Africa (August 8); and Michael Aman and Clint Edwards’ Becoming Tennessee, about the young Tennessee Williams, starring Brian Charles Rooney, Dathan Williams, and Boston.
