Plays by Jez Butterworth, Tina Howe, and David Mamet will be part of the Atlantic Theater Company’s 2006-2007 mainstage season.

The company will present the New York premiere of Howe’s Birth and After Birth, directed by Christian Parker, September 13-October 29. No director has been named for this production. Mamet is the co-founder of the Atlantic and the author of such works as American Buffalo, Glengarry Glen Ross, Romance, and Edmond (the film version of which is currently in release).

The season will continue with the world premiere of Butterworth’s Parlour Song, directed by the the Atlantic’s artistic director, Neil Pepe.
