Mason, Patterson, Ross, Sloman, et al. Set for Muny’s Gypsy

Karen Mason, Meredith Patterson, Blair Ross, and John Sloman will star in the St. Louis Muny’s upcoming production of Gypsy, July 17-23.

The revival of the beloved Arthur Laurents-Jule Styne-Stephen Sondheim musical will also star Shannon M. O’Bryan as June, Ariane Rinehart as Baby Louise, Lindsay Ryan as Baby June, Kevin Worley as Tulsa, Susann Fletcher as Tessie Tura, Patti Mariano as Mazeppa, and Robert Earl Gleason as Uncle Jocko/Bourgeron-Cochon.

The cast also features Damien Brett as George/Pastey; John Contini as Pop; Max Friedman, Brendan Marks, Nick Oliveri, Neil Shastri and Jordan Ward as the Newsboys; Gary Glasgow as Weber/Mr. Goldstone; Etai BenShlomo as Yonkers; Andrew Arrington as Angie; Michael McKee as L.A.; Michael Burton as Dallas; John Freimann as Kringelein/Phil; Andrew Arrington, Etai BenShlomo, Michael Burton, Antwayn Hopper and Michael McKee as the Farmboys; Sara Dobbs, Stephanie Gibson, Leah Hofmann, Amanda McCroskery, Emily Peterson and Cortney Wolfson as the Hollywood Blondes; Sara Dobbs as Agnes; John Contini as Cigar; and Amanda McCroskery as the Maid.

Mason, who will play Rose, has starred on Broadway in Mamma Mia! and Sunset Boulevard and has won seven MAC Awards for her cabaret work and recordings. Patterson, who will play Louise, starred as Peggy Sawyer in the Broadway revival of 42nd Street and regionally in White Christmas. Ross, who will play Electra and Miss Cratchit, played the role of Dorothy Brock on Broadway and the national tour of 42nd Street. Sloman, who will play Herbie, has been seen on Broadway in The Music Man, Big, and Mayor.
