Jacob Young Extends Beauty and the Beast Stay Through August 20

Jacob Young, who plays JR Chandler on the ABC daytime drama All My Children, has extended his stay as Lumière in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast through August 20. Young joined the cast on May 9 and was originally scheduled to leave on July 16; he does not perform Wednesday matinees.

Young, who is making his Broadway debut in the show, won a Daytime Emmy Award for his role of Lucky Spencer on General Hospital. He also played Rick Forrester Jr. on The Bold and the Beautiful. His other TV credits include Beach Boys: An All American Family and Hope and Faith. Young has also appeared in benefits for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and he has a solo CD entitled Jacob Young.

Beauty and the Beast currently stars Sarah Litzsinger, Steve Blanchard, Grant Norman, Jeanne Lehman, Jamie Ross, Jeff Brooks, Meredith Inglesby, Mary Stout, and Aldrin Gonzalez.
