Hicks, Lewis, McAlexander, Rannells, et al. Set for Goodspeed’s The 60’s Project

Rodney Hicks, Megan Lewis, Amy McAlexander, and Andrew Rannells will be among the cast of The 60’s Project, which will run at the Goodspeed Opera House’s Norma Terris Theatre, August 10-September 3. The musical will be directed by Tony Award-winner Richard Maltby, Jr.

The show was conceived by Janet Brenner, co-written by Brenner and Ken Levine, and will be choreographed by Lisa Shriver. The cast also includes Maggie Benjamin, Rodrick Covington, Michael Gillis, Kevin Hale, Lois Robbins, Angela Williams, Cameron Adams, Mark Bush, Darryl E. Calmese Jr., Michael Craig, Alexis Sims, Miles Johnson, Claire Karpen, Idara Victor, and Bobby List.

The show, which had a previous production at CAP 21 in New York, uses some of the most popular songs of that decade to help tell the story of a group of young friends who are fighting to make a difference in the world.

Hicks starred on Broadway in Rent and Jesus Christ Superstar and recently starred Off-Broadway in Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris. Lewis starred Off-Broadway in Forbidden Broadway: SVU. McAlexander starred in the Broadway musical Little Women. Rannells is finishing up his run as Link Larkin in the Broadway production of Hairspray.
