Harris, Williams-Paisley, York, et al. Set for Hollywood Bowl’s Amadeus Live

Neil Patrick Harris, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, and Michael York will star in the Hollywood Bowl’s Amadeus Live, to be held at 8pm on Monday, July 20. The evening will feature scenes from Peter Shaffer’s Tony Award-winning play as well as several Mozart compositions.

The event is in honor of Mozart’s 250th birthday and will feature the Los Angeles Philharmonic, conducted by Leonard Slatkin, performing selections from the composer’s works. Other participants in the Amadeus reading include Kevin Bailey as Venticello II, Douglas Fisher as Major Domo, Richard Leighton as Venticello I, Michael McCarty as Count Franz Orsini-Rosenberg, Gregory North as Joseph II, Tony Pasqualini as Baron Gottfried van Swieten, Sam Zeller as Count Johan Kilian von Strack, Christopher Carroll as Kapellmeister Bonno, and Talmadge Ragan as Teresa Salieri.

Harris has starred on Broadway in Assassins, Cabaret, and Proof, and has appeared in Los Angeles in All My Sons, Rent, and
Sweeney Todd. Williams-Paisley stars on the ABC sitcom According to Jim and is best known for the Father of the Bride movies with Steve Martin.

York’s Broadway credits include Bent and The Crucible, and he is scheduled to star in an upcoming national tour of Camelot. In addition, he has starred in such films as Cabaret, Something for Everyone, and Romeo & Juliet.
