Desperate Housewives star James Denton will host a special benefit performance of Paul Strioli’s cabaret show Straight Up With A Twist at 7pm on Saturday, July 29 at Sterling’s Upstairs at Vitello’s in Studio City, California. The event will benefit Cure Autism Now (C.A.N.), an organization committed to accelerating scientific research for preventing, treating, and curing autism.

In the show, Strioli plays all the members of his eccentric family who struggle to understand a happily married guy who cannot work power tools, but can perfectly fold a fitted sheet.

Denton plays Mike Delfino on ABC-TV’s Desperate Housewives. He has starred in regional productions of A Streetcar Named Desire, Our Town, Flesh and Blood, and The Diviners, for which he received a Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Actor. His other TV credits include Reba, Philly, J.A.G., and The Pretender.

Tickets to the benefit are priced at $80, including a four-course dinner. Following the show, audience members will have the opportunity to meet Denton and Strioli. Call 818-769-0905 for reservations.
