Atkinson, Brown, d’Abruzzo, Huffman, Pedi, et al. Set for Atrainplays Benefit

Ashlie Atkinson, Jeb Brown, Stephanie d’Abruzzo, Cady Huffman, and Christine Pedi, will be among the stars participating in theAtrainplays, vol. XXI, to be held at 8pm on Wednesday, August 2 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street). This special one-night performance will benefit the Off-Broadway community.

First originated in 2002, theAtrainplays, which are actually 15-minute musicals, are created by six creative teams while traveling the entire route of the A train, from 207th Street to Far Rockaway, and back. The writers, along with their cast, directors, and choreographers, then have approximately 24 hours to fully develop their works.

For this edition, the creative team includes writers David Grimm, Stephen O’Rourke, Craig Pospisil, and Erica Silberman, lyricist-composers Gaby Alter, Brian J. Nash, and Jeremy Schonfeld, directors Edie Cowan, Michael Dulling, and Barry McNabb, and choreographers Tricia Brouk and Dwight Edwards. Also involved in this production are Alec Berlin (Musical Director), Paul Witte (Lighting Designer), and Andrew Donovan (Original Scenic Designer).

The cast will also feature Natalie Douglas, Ryan Duncan, Tracy Jai Edwards, Lawrence Feeney, Jenny Fellner, Rob Gallagher, Eric Michael Gillett, Donovan Patton, Michael Pemberton, Rene Ruiz, Kate Shindle, Michael West, and Doug Wert.
