Actors’ Fund Auction of 1000 Stars Begins July 24

The Actors’ Fund of America’s seventh annual Auction of 1000 Stars, in which participants bid on celebrity events, tickets, and memorabilia, will take place July 24-August 7. All proceeds will go to support the organization’s various programs.
Among the many items up for grabs this year are: dinner with Liam Neeson and Natasha Richardson at Café Luxembourg in New York; VIP tickets to the London revival of Bent, followed by dinner with its star, Alan Cumming; VIP tickets to the Shakespeare in the Park production of Mother Courage and a meeting with its star, Meryl Streep; VIP tickets to The Color Purple and a meeting with its star, LaChanze.
Other notable items include private vocal coaching sessions with Barbara Cook, Shirley Jones, and Audra McDonald; a chance to conduct the exit music of Broadway’s Phantom of the Opera; and walk-on roles in Rent and Mamma Mia!
