Tony Award nominee Louise Pitre and former country music superstar Billy Ray Cyrus will star in a staged concert production of the classic Irving Berlin musical Annie Get Your Gun at Toronto’s Massey Hall, August 1-20.

Pitre, who is playing Annie Oakley, received a Tony Award nomination for her role as Donna Sheridan in the Broadway production of Mamma Mia!. An Ontario native, Pitre has won three Dora Awards, for Mamma Mia!, Piaf, and Blood Brothers.

Cyrus is playing the role of Frank Butler, replacing previously announced star Paul Brandt. Best known for his smash hit “Achy Breaky Heart” in 1992, Cyrus has also starred in the television series Doc, and in such films as Mulholland Drive and Wish You Were Dead.

Annie Get Your Gun will be directed and choreographed by Donna Feore. The show’s supporting cast includes Jonathan Wilson, Sandy Winsby, William Merasty, Sandra Caldwel, and Avery Saltzman.
