York Theatre Company to Present Thrill Me in Concert

On Sunday, August 1 at 7:30pm, the York Theatre Company will present a benefit concert performance of Stephen Dolginoff’s Thrill Me: The Leopold & Loeb Story, featuring original cast members Christopher Totten and Matthew S. Morris. The performance will be followed by a signing of the recently released cast recording on the Original Cast label. The CD is available online at www.thrillmethemusical.com and copies will also be sold at the concert to benefit the York’s developmental reading series.

Thrill Me was a sell-out hit at the 2003 Midtown International Theatre Festival. The musical tells the story of Chicago “thrill-killers” Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb, who in 1924 committed what was then considered the crime of the century: the unmotivated murder of a young boy.

The concert will be held at the York Theatre at Saint Peter’s (619 Lexington Avenue at 54th Street, in the Citigroup building). Tickets are $25 and CDs will be available for $15; a $35 CD-and-ticket combo offer is also available. VIP admission, which includes an autographed CD and a post-show reception, is $60. Tickets may be purchased at the York’s box office or by calling 212-935-5820.
