The Actors’ Fund Announces Online Auction of 1000 Stars

The Actors’ Fund of America, in partnership with Yahoo!, has announced an online Auction of 1000 Stars 2004 that will begin on Tuesday, August 10 and conclude on Wednesday, August 25. Entertainment enthusiasts can bid on unique experiences with the stars as well as hundreds of piece of memorabilia “from Broadway to Baseball.” Packages up for auction include:

The Boy From Oz Show and Star Package: The winner will receive two VIP tickets to the show, a “meet and greet” with Hugh Jackman, a signed poster and cast album, and a personalized program.


Law & Order: SVU Package: The winner will visit the set or shooting location of the popular NBC television series.


Mamma Mia! Package: The winner will have a non-speaking, walk-on role in the wedding scene of the hit Broadway musical. This package includes a rehearsal, a costume fitting, four VIP tickets for the show, a backstage tour, and photos with the cast.


Among the memorabilia up for bid will be signed posters from such Broadway shows as Lillian (signed by Zoe Caldwell), The King and I (signed by Yul Brynner), and Twentieth Century (signed by Alec Baldwin and Anne Heche). There will also be Playbills autographed by such luminaries as Carol Burnett, Nathan Lane, Chita Rivera, Angela Lansbury, Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne.
