Lincoln Center Theater has just announced full casting for its upcoming production of Henry IV at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre. Richard Easton, Billy Crudup, Ethan Hawke, Dana Ivey, Kevin Kline, and Audra McDonald will appear in the show, which is set to begin previews on October 28. The press opening is scheduled for Thursday, November 20.

This production will condense Shakespeare’s Henry IV: Part I and Henry IV: Part II into one work, with the intention of making the journey of the central character — Prince Hal, later Henry V — more clear. The show will be directed by Jack O’Brien (Hairspray, The Invention of Love), with scenic design by Ralph Funicello, costume design by Jess Goldstein, and lighting design by Brian MacDevitt.

Easton (The Invention of Love) will portray the title character and Crudup (The Elephant Man) will play Prince Hal. Kline will be Falstaff, Hawke will be Hotspur, Ivey (A Day in the Death of Joe Egg) will fill the dual roles of Lady Northumberland and Mistress Quickly, and McDonald (Ragtime) will play Lady Percy.
