Theatre For a New Audience Announces 24th Season

Theatre For a New Audience’s artistic director, Jeffrey Horowitz, and executive director, M. Edgar Rosenblum, today announced the three productions that will make up the company’s 24th season. Two classics and one New York premiere are on the bill; all three shows are to be presented downtown at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, located at 121 Christopher Street. The season is as follows:

*The General from America, by Richard Nelson
November 21-December 22, 2002

*Julius Caesar, by William Shakespeare
Directed by Karin Coonrod
January 19-February 23, 2003
(Previews begin January 14)

*Don Juan, by Moliere
Directed by Bartlett Sher
March 23-April 20, 2003
(Previews begin March 18)

Corin Redgrave will play Benedict Arnold in Nelson’s play, which is set during the American Revolution and was premiered by the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1996. TFANA is currently in talks with Byron Jennings to star in the title role of Don Juan.
