In the last 16 years, Hedwig and the Angry Inch's "Wig in a Box" has become a go-to ballad for cabaret performers (both drag and non) across the world. Everyone from Scottish elf Alan Cumming to choral rock band Polyphonic Spree — and every adorable nonconformist in between — has covered the song.
