Australian writer and performer Rachel Dunham will star in the U.S. premiere of her musical Oprahfication, presented by Adam Lowe Theatrical and the 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival. Performances will run from July 17-24 at the Pershing Square Signature Center.

Oprahfication premiered at the 2013 Adelaide Fringe Festival and was later performed at the Melbourne Cabaret Festival, the Ballarat Cabaret Festival and Adelaide's Feast Festival. The show recently completed a run in Melbourne as part of the Midsumma Festival and in Sydney as part of the Mardi Gras Festival 2014.

Oprahfication is described as follows: "In 2011, Oprah closed the book on 25 years of dominating global television to focus on building her new empire, the Oprah Winfrey Network. It's not been going so well. Now, Oprahfication brings her back with a one-off retrospective episode to celebrate those years and present to you the ultimate interview."

The musical features an original score by Shanon D. Whitelock, with direction by Dirk Hoult.
