Center Theatre Group has announced its 11th season at the CTG/Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City, California. The 2014-15 season will include four mainstage productions, five DouglasPlus productions and readings, and a show for families.

The mainstage season will open with a production of Pulitzer Prize winner David Mamet's charged play Race (August 31-September 28), directed by Scott Zigler. Next, the theater will present the world premiere of Rebecca Gilman's Luna Gale (November 23-December 21), with direction by Robert Falls. Kicking off 2015, L.A.'s Culture Clash will present a new version of its 2003 hit Chavez Ravine (January 27-March 1), directed by Lisa Peterson. The season's final offering will be a Les Walters-directed production of Todd Almond and Matthew Sweet's Girlfriend (July 12-August 9).

The DouglasPlus program aims to explore new works and push boundaries. Its presentations this season will include Dael Orlandersmith's Forever, Lucy Alibar's work-in-progress Throw Me on the Burnpile and Light Me Up, the U.S. premiere of Gob Squad's absurdist Western Society, and the world premiere of Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen's How to Be a Rock Critic, as well as Facing Our Truth: Ten-Minute Plays on Trayvon, Race and Privilege along with an associated youth summit.

In addition, the season's L.A. Company Partnerships programming will feature a partnership with the Burglars of Hamm and the 24th Street Theatre to remount a family-friendly production of Mike Kenny's Walking the Tightrope at the Douglas. Debbie Devine will direct.
