Squeaky Bicycle Productions Presents Alligator Summer
New York City’s Squeaky Bicycle Productions will open its newest production, Dylan Lamb’s Alligator Summer, at the Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex on June 20, scheduled to run through July 7.
The play is described as an “audacious farce” that depicts two families in 1940s Louisiana who have to seek refuge in an attic to escape the army of alligators that have taken over their town. The story is told as a memoir, narrated by the young Antietam Julep who is simultaneously dealing with his own coming-of-age growing pains. The company bills the show as “the guiltiest of pleasures for the refined sadist in all of us.”
Directed by Brandi Varnell, the cast features Nicholas Yenson, Nathan Brisby, Mark A. Keeton, Annalisa Loeffler, Jackie Krim, Erin E. McGuff, and playwright Dylan Lamb. The creative team also features set design by Kathryn Lieber, costume design by Bethany Johnsrud, lighting design by Christopher D’Angelo, and sound design by Emily Auciello.
