Kevin Kline, Meryl Streep, Zachary Quinto, and More at the Public Theater’s Pirates of Penzance Gala Concert

Despite a day-long rain delay, the show went on.

Meryl Streep, Zachary Quinto, Steve Martin, and Lily Rabe were among the guests at the Public Theater’s benefit gala performance of Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance, held Tuesday, June 11 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. The production, which starred Kevin Kline, Glenn Close, Jonathan Groff, Eric Idle, and Martin Short, was directed by Ted Sperling, with choreography by Graciela Daniele and musical direction by James Moore. The evening was dedicated to the memory of late screenwriter/playwright Nora Ephron, a tireless supporter of the Public and their yearly Shakespeare in the Park program.
