After pulling out of the Broadway-bound Houdini, starring Hugh Jackman, earlier this year, the writer is again eyeing the Great White Way.

Aaron Sorkin has plans for a new Broadway musical, according to a recent interview with Vanity Fair. The West Wing and Social Network writer recently pulled out of what was to be his Broadway book-writing debut: a musical entitled Houdini and starring Hollywood and Broadway hunk Hugh Jackman.

This left us wondering when the Academy Award-winning writer of Broadway plays A Few Good Men and The Farnsworth Invention would finally come back to the stage. And now it looks like we might not be left hanging too much longer.

In an interview at the Dance Project Gala, Sorkin explained to Vanity Fair, “Well, I’m going to be doing a Broadway musical, and there will be plenty of extended dance sequences… I can’t say anything else about it, though.”

Sorkin and extended dance numbers! Sounds worth the wait.
