Stage Version of Magic Mike Being Developed for Broadway

By New York City
A stage adaptation of the highly anticipated male stripper movie Magic Mike is being developed for a Broadway outing, according to USA Today.

The paper quotes screenwriter Reid Carolin as saying, "We are working on it as a Broadway show, which would be a different story […] more of a romp, more of a fun night out at a club with a story. I'm almost more excited about that than the movie because I think it's the perfect thing for women to go see on Broadway, to be participants in the show."

The film, to hit movie theaters on June 29, stars Channing Tatum in the title role, with the cast also featuring Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Matthew McConaughey, Alex Pettyfer, and Olivia Munn.
