Mare Winningham to Perform Country-Jewish-Folk, Or Jewgrass at Barrow Street Theatre

Emmy Award winner and Oscar nominee Mare Winningham will perform Country-Jewish-Folk, Or Jewgrass for a one-night-only engagement at Barrow Street Theatre on Monday, July 16 at 8pm.

The actress will be accompanied by Tim Crouch on fiddle/mandolin and Irl Hees on upright bass, playing original country folks songs and Hebrew lullabies.

Winningham — who was nominated for Lucille Lortel Award for her current role in Tribes at Barrow Street — has appeared in numerous other stage productions, including After the Revolution, Whisper House, 10 Million Miles, Hurlyburly, Side Man, and Lessons. She received an Oscar nomination for Georgia and won Emmy Awards for George Wallace and Amber Waves. Her other film and television credits include The Hatfields and McCoys, St. Elmo’s Fire, Love Is Never Silent, The Boys Next Door, Maldonado Miracle, and Grey’s Anatomy.
