Two-time Tony Award winner Katie Finneran will play Miss Hannigan and Australian stage star Anthony Warlow will play Daddy Warbucks in the Broadway revival of Annie, which will begin previews at the Palace Theater on October 3, with an official opening on November 8. James Lapine will direct the production, which will have choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler.

Annie features music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and book by Thomas Meehan, and is based on Harold Gray’s “Little Orphan Annie” comics. As previously reported, Lilla Crawford will play the title role with the orphans played by Madi Rae DiPietro (as July), Georgi James (as Pepper), Junah Jang (as Tessie), Tyrah Skye Odoms (as Kate), Taylor Richardson (as Duffy), and Emily Rosenfeld (as Molly). Also cast is Jaidyn Young, who will be the standby for the roles of Annie, Pepper, Duffy, and July. Richardson will understudy the role of Annie.

The production will feature scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Susan Hilferty, lighting design by Donald Holder and sound design by Brian Ronan. Music director is Todd Ellison. Hair and wig design is by Tom Watson. Animal training is by Tony Award-winner William Berloni.

Finneran received Tony Awards for her work in Promises, Promises and Noises Off. She was also part of the original Off-Broadway cast of Love, Loss, and What I Wore and recenly starred on FOX’s I Hate My Teenage Daughter.

Warlow is currently starring in the Australian tour of Annie. His many stage credits include The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, and Guys and Dolls.
