Andrew Rothkin and Joseph Conway have joined the cast of a special performance of Joanne de Simone’s Norma Jeane, Enlightened. The performance will be held on August 2 at 5pm at The Arthur Seelen Theatre at The Drama Book Shop, in commemoration of the upcoming 50th anniversary Marilyn Monroe’s death.

On August 5, 1962, Marilyn Monroe, screen goddess, was found dead under uncertain circumstances. Deemed a suicide, many – to this day – believe she was murdered. The play finds Marilyn, seconds after her demise on a beach with a lone figure, who takes her on the kind of journey one takes only after the final curtain comes down.

In addition to Rothkin (John F. Kennedy) and Conway (Tyrone Power), the production will feature performances by Michael Curcio (Robert Kennedy), Martha Ghio (Paula Strasberg), Gloria Jung (Eleonora Duce), Eric Kuzmuk (Arthur Miller), Danny McDermott (Joe DiMaggio) and Holly Elizabeth O’Brien (Norma Jeane).

Refreshments will be served, and a Q&A follows the performance.
