Jenn Colella, Rick Elice, Dan Lauria, Roger Rees Set for Fresh Fruit Festival Reading of Dustin Lance Black’s 8

All Out Arts has announced casting for a reading of Dustin Lance Black’s new play 8, to be presented as part of the Fresh Fruit Festival at The Wild Project on Friday, July 27 at 8pm.
The play chronicles the historic trial in the federal constitutional challenge to California’s Proposition 8, which stripped gay and lesbian Californians of the fundamental freedom to marry. It is based on the actual words of the trial transcripts, first-hand observations of the courtroom drama and interviews with the plaintiffs and their families.
The cast will include Rachel Burttram (Dr. Nancy Cott), Jenn Colella (Sandy Stier), Rick Elice (David Blankenhorn), Mark Fisher (Spencer), Stephen Mo Hanan (Chief Judge Vaughn R. Walker), Patrick Husted (David Boies), Sanjiv Jhaveri (Dr. Ilan Meyer), Peter Kim (Dr. William Tam), Dan Lauria (Theodore B. Olson), Stacia Newcomb (Clerk), Susan Louise O’Connor (Maggie Gallagher), Karen Oster (Kris Perry), Destan Owens (Dr. Gary Segura), Scott Pearson (Elliott), Brendan Powers (Dr. Gregory Herek), Roger Rees (Charles J.
