Hayley Atwell, Michelle Dockery, Michael Gambon, Rufus Sewell to Star in Screen Adaptation of William Boyd’s Restless

Hayley Atwell, Michelle Dockery, Michael Gambon, Charlotte Rampling, and Rufus Sewell will star in the Sundance Channel and the BBC’s screen adaptation of William Boyd’s espionage thriller Restless, according to Deadline.com.

Edward Hall directs the drama, which features a script by Boyd. Dockery will star as a young woman who learns that her mother, played by Rampling, is a former spy for the British secret service. Atwell plays Rampling’s younger self, who is recruited into the service and falls in love with a fellow spy, played by Sewell. Gambon will play the older version of Sewell’s character.

Dockery, best known for her performance on the seriesDownton Abbey, has been seen on stage in Pygmalion and His Dark Materials. Atwell’s screen and stage credits include A View from the Bridge and Captain America. Sewell has been seen on Broadway in Rock and Roll. Rampling’s has been seen on screen in Stardust Memories and The Verdict. Gambon’s work includes No Man’s Land, Krapp’s Last Tape, and the Harry Potter films.
