Berkeley Rep’s world premiere production of Eve Ensler‘s Emotional Creature will transfer Off-Broadway to New York’s Pershing Square Signature Center on October 26, with an official opening set for November 12. The transfer is produced by Carole Black and Pat Mitchell.

The show, which is currently running at Berkeley Rep’s Roda Theatre through July 15, is directed by Jo Bonney, with musical direction by Charl-Johan Lingenfelder.

Based on Ensler’s novel I Am an Emotional Creature: The Secret Life of Girls Around the World. Staged., the show will be comprised of original monologues and songs about and for girls.

The cast features Joaquina Kalukango, who is a 2012 Drama Desk nominee for her work in Hurt Village at New York’s Signature Theatre, as well as Ashley Bryant, Molly Carden, Emily S. Grosland, Sade Namei, and Olivia Oguma.

The creative team includes Myung Hee Cho (scenic and costume design), Lap Chi Chu (lighting design), Jake Rodriguez (sound design), and Shawn Sagady (video design). The production’s choreographer is Luam.
